SOCIAL MEDIA GUIDELINES

Members of the Irish Dance Teachers Association of Canada - Eastern Region must comply with the policies as set out by An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha (CLRG), of Dublin, Ireland, the Irish Dance Teachers Association of North America and the Irish Dance Teachers Association of Canada - Eastern Region.

​The Social Media Guidelines for all Registered Teachers/Adjudicators and Members of An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha states “All registered CLRG Teachers/Adjudicators and members represent CLRG and its associated bodies. As such, conduct should be consistent with the mission, purpose, values, and ethics of CLRG and those organizations.” It is the duty of members to know and understand the CLRG Social Media Guidelines and understand the personal responsibility of social media use for their business and/or their personal social media accounts. Members are asked to take careful consideration when posting to social media accounts and refrain from commenting on public forums in a manner that could discredit this association, any other member of Irish Dance Teachers Association of Canada - Eastern Region, An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha, Irish Dance Teachers Association of North America or the Irish dance community in general. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary, legal, or other action.

 

As per the as per Social Media Guidelines for all Registered Teachers/Adjudicators and Members of CLRG, should a member see anything on social media that goes against these guidelines and policies, it is the member’s responsibility to inform CLRG, or face financial or other disciplinary action.
