BECOMING A MEMBER

Membership to the Irish Dance Teachers Association of Canada - Eastern Region, is open to individuals who hold T.C.R.G., A.D.C.R.G., S.D.C.R.G. or T.M.R.F. accreditation and are currently registered with An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha, of Dublin, Ireland.

Applicants must either reside in
Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick or Newfoundland & Labrador and/or have a school or dancers residing in any of these provinces. 

Additionally, members of the Irish Dance Teachers Association of Canada - Eastern Region must also register with the 
Irish Dance Teachers Association of North America, therefore, it is not possible for someone to register without residing in North America.

It is the responsibility of the member to stay up to date on rules and any changes, additions, omissions, etc. of Irish Dance Teachers Association of Canada - Eastern Region, Irish Dance Teachers Association of North America and An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha. In applying for membership with IDTACer, a member agrees to abide by the constitutions, rules, regulations, and policies of each of these organizations.
 

Individuals seeking membership with this Association must apply in writing to idtace@gmail.com (or to any member of the Executive Board), submit a completed registration form, remit payment of registration fees, and provide evidence of membership with An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha if requested. 

 

Additional requirements such as completion of a course in Child Protection and submission of a current Vulnerable Sector Check (a police background check to work with vulnerable persons such as children) will also be required.
